Once you have made a booking you will receive a questionnaire relating to lifestyle and symptoms to complete.

 

  • INITIAL CONSULTATION

Up to 1 hour, £275 


I will take a detailed relevant medical history and review of your symptoms. We will discuss relevant hormonal tests.

 

EXISTING CUSTOMERS :


  • FIRST REVIEW

Up to 30 minutes, £150 


I will explain your results in context with your symptoms. I will create an individualised programme of lifestyle and supplement advice, including a treatment and optional prescription plan. This may include the use of of  bio-identical hormones.

 

  • FURTHER REVIEWS

Up to 30 minutes, £150   


Further reviews will be arranged as appropriate until we optimise your hormone balance, these may require further testing prior to appointments. Once things are stable reviews will take place at 6-12 monthly intervals.


If you have not had a review within the last 18 months, then you will need to book a new patient consultation.

    These are taken at a Superdrug clinic. The fee to Superdrug for this service is £40. To be taken on day 21 of cycle in premenstrual women, any day for menopausal women. Turnaround time 2 days.

    URINE TESTING : Home test kit


    To be taken on day 21 of cycle in premenstrual women, any day for menopausal women. 4-5 dried urine samples over 24 hours. Turnaround time 12-14 days

  • Pelvic Ultrasound

    Ultrasound scans are recommended if we are using bio-identical hormones as a baseline, then annually. 

BHRT Prescriptions


Following my assessment I will formulate a prescription and liase with the pharmacist to create a prescription personalized to your individual hormone requirements. 

 

The pharmacy uses a substance called Diosgenin, which has been extracted from yams, to create the bioidentical hormones. There are various routes of administration, but most commonly we will use skin creams as our initial treatments. 

 

Once we have agreed on which hormones and the specific dosing required for your individual needs. I will send a prescription to the pharmacy, who will arrange with you regarding payment for and delivery. 


BHRT will cost you between £1 - 3 per day, depending on the bespoke hormone combination.
